KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 17 (Bernama) -- A 32-year-old Singaporean woman was found dead with slash marks on her neck, shoulders and abdomen in her hotel room in Bukit Bintang Friday.
A police spokesman said the body of Patricia Wong was found by the hotel housekeeper who opened the door using a master key when her knocks went unanswered.
He said Wong, who worked with IBM, was a regular visitor to Malaysia and often stayed at the hotel while her latest visit commenced on Dec 12.
He said the murder weapon had not been found while the victim's laptop computer and an undisclosed sum of money were believed missing.
He said police would look at the hotel's closed-circuit TV cameras in their investigations.
Wong's body was sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for post-mortem.
