Edmund WongEdmund is a Research and Development Associate at ActKnowledge where he provides Ordering Change facilitation and technical assistance to social change initiatives as well as the designer of theoryofchange.org.Edmund is interested in helping public sector organizations achieve high performance through strategy and operations analysis and implementation.Prior to joining ActKnowledge, Edmund worked as an independent consultant for the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City, a non-profit research institute headed by Harvard Business School Professor Michael E. Porter.

Edmund also served as a fiscal policy analyst for the Massachusetts House Committee on Ways and Means.At Ways and Means, Edmund was responsible for over $3.7 billion in appropriations including the housing, community and economic development and job training budgets.In addition, Edmund has worked with MassHousing, Massachusettsâs housing finance agency, as a financial analyst.

Edmund received a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University.

As the co-founder and Director of ActKnowledge, Heléne uses a participatory action research approach to connect researchers and practitioners.She has taught and facilitated the Theory of Change to collaborations of public and private organizations all around the country.Heléne has been the principal investigator for evaluation of numerous initiatives attempting to transform communities and community institutions in replicable ways, including a comprehensive community initiative in Harlem, a community collaboration with government agencies to improve housing and safety, and community schools.Prior to founding ActKnowledge, Heléne was Associate Director of the Center for Human Environments at the City University of New York where she worked with not-for-profit organizations and foundations in the fields of housing and community development.
