Sharon was inspired to set up Excellent Women Ltd, a business training company aimed at women owner-managers whilst in America, Babson has a prestigious centre for Women's Leadership. Her contact with local business women in Nottingham as a mentor for Nottingham Business Venture and Advisor at First Enterprise helped her to recognise a need for high-quality business training and networking opportunities that would be affordable for every woman.Sharon values the opportunity to visit the Treasury and share her experiences about the trip and her development as a result of the visit."Without the NES programme", she stated "I would not have the business I have today, start-up funding was a major contributor to me getting the business off the ground, this coupled with the American experience has more than doubled the potential of my business.2005 is set to be a fantastic year for business".She has enlisted a number of experienced dynamic women trainers for forthcoming events and is currently promoting the launch of the Excellent Women Network Group to be held in January 2005; she welcomes women in business to join her on this journey. She can be contacted at her offices at 82-84 Radford Road Nottingham.
The NES programme was adopted this year as a mainstream programme funded by the Learning and Skills Council and run on their behalf by a partnership of the National Federation of Enterprise Agencies (NFEA), the Association of Business Schools and the Princes Trust.
