Paul Wolmarans, owner of Kenpat USA, said his company is still owed more than half of a $648,452 invoice for work it did installing drywall and ceilings in the old Church Street Exchange building -- where music mogul Pearlman's Trans Continental Companies are now headquartered. He said he thought the problem came about because the owners of the property were counting on the loan from the city.
It was several months ago, Wolmarans said, when he found out he may not get paid in full, but stayed on the job until the middle of April because "we were committed to the extent that we wanted to see what we believe is a good project completed."
