Christel graduated from the University of Pretoria with a B.Eng (Electrical) degree in 1996, whereafter she joined the university as a junior lecturer.Shortly after enrolling for her LLB studies in 1998, duty called and she joined Eskom to fulfil her bursary obligation, working first as an Engineer-in-training in the Transmission Group and later as a project manager.Christel joined Spoor & Fisher in 2001 and was registered as a patent attorney in 2004.She is currently working in the field of patent and design matters generally, including patent searching.Christel enjoys reading and travelling.
