Myrton is an enrolled member of the Blackfeet Indian Tribe located in Browning, Montana.His mother, Lillian, raised him near Lake Tahoe, California.Myrton attended Western Michigan University on a full athletic scholarship, and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.Soon after graduation, he received a scholarship to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, where he studied classical and modern acting.He made his New York City stage debut with the Julliard School's Journey Beyond the West, his network television debut on the daytime drama Another World, and his feature film debut at the Sundance Film Festival in the Native American independent film Skins (2002).Myrton received his Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Southern California.
