Redlands East Valley High School mock trial team member Corey Wlodarczyk said that "Our goal is to be the best, and we did not falter.We've accomplished our first goal and now we are striving to be the best team in the state competition."

According to Corey, "The courtroom was electric on Dec. 11, 2004 when Dr. Fischer announced REV high school as the winner of the county competition.

"Preparing a successful strategy had us working long hours with the team and attorney coaches, and then even more time at home studying the witness statements and learning the nuances of the fact situation," Corey said, who noted that three days a week, " we practice with our attorney coaches, Judge Kamansky, Gary Fagan and Greg Waitman; our practice schedule is demanding, but the fact that we all get along makes it a uniquely rewarding way to spend time.
