"As far as I know, this is the first time Holt has ever won a regional title," said Holt coach Anne Witherill, who has coached the team for the last four years and had a stint with the Rams during the 1980s.

"Winning the regional title was great, but the thing I am most happy about is advancing nine to the finals," Witherill said.

"Our goal at the state meet is to try and get third," Holt coach Anne Witherill said."We were .025 away from Brighton at regionals and they're one of the top three in the state.So we think we can beat them."

The Rams (145.625) placed behind Brighton (145.65) and Tri-Farmington (150.65) - two contenders for the state title.

Twistars USA is proud to announce the addition of Anne Witherill to our already fine coaching staff. Anne is very familiar with the standards, expectations and program operations at Twistars USA as she was a cornerstone employee from 1996-98. Actually she was also a part of the Geddert staff prior to the opening of Twistars in 1996.

Since leaving our staff in 1998 she has maintained her involvement with gymnastics as the head coach for Holt High School where she led the Rams to the STATE HIGH SCHOOL STATE CHAMPIONSHIP in 2007.
