Mark A. Wirtz came to Schiller DuCanto and Fleck LLP in 2006 following seven years with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, where he prosecuted crimes such as first degree murder, attempted murder, predatory criminal sexual assault, aggravated battery, and reckless homicide.While at the State's Attorney's Office, Mr. Wirtz tried nineteen cases to jury and conducted hundreds of bench trials and hearings on contested motions.
Mr. Wirtz graduated magna cum laude from Loras College with a B.A. degree in psychology and received his J.D. degree with distinction in 1995 from the University of Iowa Law School, where he held a position on the Moot Court Board.He holds bar admissions in both Illinois and Iowa and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.At Schiller DuCanto and Fleck LLP, his practice now concentrates on litigation of complex family law matters.
