Bob Wirsing is looking for help with our Essay and Oratorical Contests.We are in need of members to help with either contest by making communications with the local schools, collecting the essays, obtaining judges, and mentoring students with their presentations.The Essay Contest entries must be to the judges by February 20th.The winner will be submitted to the next level of competition before February 28th.The Oratorical Contest will be held March 4, 9:00am at the Clinton Macomb Public Library.Members are encouraged to help Bob locate judges for both events; 3 for Essays, 4 for Oratorical.Judges cannot be Optimist Club Members or their relatives.Neither may they be acquainted with any of the student participants.It is preferred to have judges with expertise in public speaking, such as toastmaster, broadcaster, politician, teacher, lawyer, etc. All judges will be honored at our Youth Appreciation Breakfast.If anyone has contacts with individuals that would be willing to help Bob, please contact him at 586-791-7906 or rcwjr824@hotmail.com.
