ACTAS would like to welcome Tasmanian orienteer Danielle Winslow who is the first recipient of a scholarship to the newly created Orienteering Australia's National Training Centre based at ACTAS, Canberra.Danielle was a member of the 2004 Australian team to the World Orienteering Championships in Sweden where she finished 38th in the final of the Middle Distance Championships.
Up to four NTC scholarships are available to non-ACT orienteers who are in the Orienteering Australia National Senior Squad, are resident of ACT, but compete for their home State in the National League.Danielle competes for the Tassie Foresters, and is a pharmacist at The Canberra Hospital.For more information on the program contact Nev Bleakley on (w) 6207 3723.
