Nick Wilson, Product Manager, Car and Marine Entertainment, said this week "Sony's entry into the marine market comes on the back of continued growth of boat sales in Australia. The consistent growth has been driven by a combination of the strength of the Australian economy, increasingly flexible working conditions and improved remote communications that enable people to stay in-touch while they're on the water."

Sony has been one of the car entertainment's major players for many years and is looking to bring that experience and expertise into the marine audio market.Sony has provided selected marine audio products before, but 2007 is the first time that they have offered a complete solution that is flexible enough for boats of all sizes.

Wilson said "Marine consumers spend a significant amount of time on their boats, and as a result are understandably looking for improved quality from their audio systems."
