  Texas DPS Trooper D.L. Wilson, who recently took on the case, said an early-1980s model Chevrolet, either light tan or white, clipped a 2005 Toyota Scion stopped in the northbound lane of the road.

  The wreck caused southbound traffic to back up as it was diverted onto the access road while workers cleared spilled oil and diesel fuel, Texas Department of Public Safety trooper D.L. Wilson said.
  
  All passengers and the four horses on the trailer were unharmed in the collision, Wilson said.
  
  The wreck occurred about 1:45 p.m. on the I-35 bridge over Farm-to-Market Road 308 near Elm Mott, Wilson said.Heavy rain and an earlier wreck farther down I-35 caused the collision, he said.
  
  A passenger bus slowed by traffic from the earlier accident was rear-ended by a maroon Dodge pickup hauling a horse trailer, he said.
