    High School Physical Education, Head Football Coach

    Mr. Wilson has been the Head Football Coach and a Physical Education teacher for the past 7 years. He is a Holy Cross School Alum and has been teaching for 38 years. Wilson earned his Bachelor of Science degree from LSU, where he also was captain of the Fighting Tiger Football Team. Wilson was an All-SEC selection, and he was a member of Tiger teams that competed in the Sugar and Cotton Bowls. In addition, he is a member of the LHSAA Louisiana Football Coaches Association and the American Football Coaches Association.

    Holy Cross Coach Barry Wilson can't help but look ahead.With the Tigers having only one returning starter on offense, who could blame him?

    "I don't really have any expectations for this team right now," Wilson said."I think anything they do is going to be a real plus, and that's what I'm looking forward to seeing.They're real young, and I think we have a chance in a couple of years to be really good.Having all of these young players gives you a different outlook, because you get really excited about the future."
