Rebecca is a member of our Unemployment and Labour Market Disadvantage team.
Since joining IES in 2000, she has developed expertise working in the area of labour market disadvantage, with particular focus in more recent work on discrimination and diversity.
Recent projects include Key Indicators of Women's Position in Britain (for the Women and Equality Unit), a qualitative examination of the experiences of pregnant women at work (for the Equal Opportunities Commission), and a wide-scale qualitative study of barriers to employment faced by people from the Pakistani and Bangladeshi communities.
Rebecca has a particular interest in issues relating to women from ethnic minorities, working on a study of Pakistani and Bangladeshi women's attitudes to work and family and an evaluation of the Partners Outreach for Ethnic Minorities scheme, both for the Department for Work and Pensions.
