Dr. Willis is originally from South Carolina.He is a graduate of Loma Linda University School of Medicine.He received his post graduate training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the University of Alabama.Following this he was a Major in the Air Force in San Antonio, Texas where he was an assistant clinical professor at the University of Texas.
He spent thirteen years at Loma Linda University starting as an Assistant Professor and becoming a full Professor.He was the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Program and the Cardiology Fellowship Program.He was also Director of the Loma Linda Heart Institute.
He has traveled extensively lecturing and performing live demonstration coronary angioplasty symposia in Japan, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, China, Hong Kong, and Panama.
He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.He is a Fellow of The American College of Cardiology, The American College of Physicians and The Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions.He has served on the Board of Directors of the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions and has been the National Program Director for that Society.
He has been the author of many articles and text book chapters relating to coronary heart disease and cardiac angiography and angioplasty techniques.
His nonmedical interests include golf, scuba diving, snow skiing, and fishing.
His medical interest include Invasive & interventional cardiology and pacemakers.
