Toby Willis

The celebration, held at Fidelco's Bloomfield campus, introduced Toby Willis of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and his guide dog "Zakai."Toby is a graduate student at Middle Tennessee State University and is employed as the coordinator of disability services at Nashville Technical Community College.He is also a musician who plays keyboards and bass with "Woodenwire," a Southern rock band.

Toby and Zakai are well-suited for each other.Together, their aggressive walking technique and long strides mean that they eat up a lot of miles in a relatively short amount of time."I needed a dog that could keep up with me," said Toby.

In introducing Toby and Zakai at the recognition event, George Salpietro, executive director for Fidelco said, "Placing our 1,000th guide dog team is an important accomplishment for Fidelco.
