Dr. Jeffrey Willis Joins Siouxland Radiology Partners

Dr. Jeffrey WillisMercy Medical Center-Sioux City has announced that Dr. Jeffrey Willis has joined Siouxland Radiology Partners and will practice radiology at the hospital and Siouxland Regional Cancer Center.

A Sioux City native and graduate of North High School, Dr. Willis is board certified in radiology.He earned his undergraduate degree at Iowa State University, and then completed his medical degree at Des Moines University.Dr. Willis was a surgical intern at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, and completed his residency in radiology at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington.

Most recently, Dr. Willis practiced radiology at Ireland Army Community Hospital in Fort Knox, Kentucky.He previously served as a battalion surgeon for the 1st Special Forces Group in Fort Lewis, Washington.

Dr. Willis is licensed to practice medicine in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota.

The CT technology used to do cardiac calcium scoring has been around for several years nationwide, but it has become much faster, said Dr. Jeff Willis, a radiologist at Mercy Medical Center.

Other screenings and stress tests may be recommended first, before trying cardiac calcium scoring.
