DAVID O. WILLIS

Dr. David O. Willis is a consultant with Healthcare Practice Consultants, LLC.He is also a Professor at the School of Dentistry at the University of Louisville.

EXPERIENCE

Dr. Willis has helped train hundreds of dentists at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where he has taught for over twenty-five years.His primary responsibilities have included teaching dental and specialty students practice management, teaching in the general clinics, and advising students, graduates and practitioners on management issues and problems.He has published numerous articles and manuals, and has spoken at many national, state and local meetings and study clubs.Dental schools across the nation use his computerized dental practice business simulation and materials.Dr Willis has served as a Consultant to the Council on Dental Practice of the American Dental Association, Chaired the Section on Practice Administration of the American Dental Education Association, and served on numerous professional and University committees.

EDUCATION

Dave earned a B.S. degree from the Ohio State University.He earned his D.M.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 1976, and an M.B.A. from the University of Louisville School of Business and Public Affairs in 1987.He completed the Professional Education Program at the College of Financial Planning in 1992, and in the same year gained the CFP® (Certified Financial Planner ®) designation from the International Board of Standards and Practices for Certified Financial Planners.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

Dr. Willis is a long time member of the Louisville Dental Society, the Kentucky Dental Association and the American Dental Association.He is also a former consultant to the ADA Council on Dental Practice, former Chair of the Section on Practice Administration of the American Dental Education Association and a member of the Financial Planning Association.
