    Barbara Willis, M.D., a psychiatrist has been named medical director of Minden Medical Center's Senior Care Services, while Erin D. Soleto, M.D., has joined Dr. David Tyler's Minden practice, making her the area's first female surgeon, according to Minden Medical Center Manager of Community/Public Relations Susan Fulton.

    Dr. Willis is a native of North Louisiana.She received her undergraduate degree from Grambling State University and her medical degree at LSUS Medical School, where she also completed her psychiatric residency.She most recently practiced in Shreveport.

    "This is a quiet and peaceful place, and they offer good care and have an excellent treatment team in place," said Dr. Willis of why she made the jump to Minden Medical Center."I hope to improve the quality of life for my patients and I want them to feel like their issues were addressed and there was improvement in their medical condition."
