Avery T. WillisFestival DirectorA Marshall Scholar, Avery T. Willis is currently a 4th year DPhil student in Classics at Balliol.She earned a BA in Classics and English (double honours, distinction) from Stanford University.She has worked in professional and student theatre in the US and UK for over 15 years, primarily as a producer, director, and playwright.Currently President of the Oxford University Classical Drama Society (OUCDS), Avery is also Festival Director of the Oxford Greek Festival 2004.

At Stanford, Avery founded a travelling theatre troupe and a film/theatre production company, and among other projects, was Production Manager for the Stanford Drama Department's Ajax, performed at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.She has also written, produced, and directed two of her original plays on the professional stage (Boy, Hedgerow Horizons, 1996 and D., Stanford University and Hedgerow Horizons, 2000).
