The legacy of Anniece Willis, 2nd grade teacher and former principal at Ropes Elementary school, lives on.For thirty two years, Anniece has been teaching some of the school district's youngest children the basics of mathematics, social studies, science, handwriting, citizenship, manners, courtesy, and cooperation.She also provided leadership for the school as a principal before retiring and then returning to work as a classroom teacher.

Ms. Willis began college at Texas Technological College in the summer of 1954.After completing two years in the field of business, she married, and then returned to Texas Tech in 1966 to complete her degree in Business Education.She obtained an Elementary Endorsement and began teaching the 5th grade at Ropes ISD in the fall of 1968.To her colleagues, Anniece Willis is inspirational and exemplifies dedication, talent and loyalty.
