On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, I would like to thank you for your message and your kind words about Anita Willis. The Board shares many of the sentiments you expressed.Anita served ARMA well and the Board wishes for her only the best and every success.
...
As you know, Anita was sincerely and genuinely devoted to ARMA International, the region teams and also the entire membership. She was a mentor and a friend to all of us.As ARMA's Region Managers and Coordinators, we must let you know how much we valued Anita's support and our concern about her replacement.
Anita brought consistency throughout our organization. As leadership changed, she was the glue that kept the wheels on operations. The professionalism Anita displayed was proper, yet familiar. She was always good at listening and making things happen for all of us.Her leadership was truly critical for developing all of us as leaders.
Anita worked tirelessly for all us.She was a great advocate for the RIM industry. When we would get tired, Anita was there for us to keep us motivated in our volunteerism to ARMA.
Please know that we are truly distressed about what has happened.Anita's shoes can not and should not be filled lightly.Change can be good, but when it comes to Membership Services, many things such as familiarity, accountability, and genuine caring must remain.HQ must seek out and find another "Anita", not someone who wants to come in and change everything and take things into too many new directions without first understanding who we, the membership and leaders are, and where this role evolved from.
Anita will remain near and dear in our hearts as we will never forget all of her hard work and dedication to ARMA International, our regions and chapters.
