Alda Sue Willis
Alda Sue Willis passed away Jan. 28, 2003, at her home in Caldwell.A celebration of her life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Homedale Seventh-day Adventist Church, Wilder.
Alda was born Feb. 19, 1941, to James and Kathryn Redfield in Lansing, Mich., the youngest of four.

As a child, Alda knew she wanted to be a teacher, and started collecting items for her classroom during high school.She achieved this dream in 1963, graduating with a B.S. in elementary education from La Sierra University in Riverside, Calif.
She married Paul Allen Willis Jr. a few weeks after graduation on June 16, 1963.They spent their first few years of marriage teaching and traveling.They taught in California, Texas, New Mexico, and later in Idaho.Alda has had a great impact on many elementary students over the years.She was listed in 2000's "Who's Who Among America's Teachers."
She spent her last 17 years teaching elementary school in the Caldwell area.
Alda and Paul had three children of their own, Paul Aaron, James Allen, and Susanne Marie, as well as "adopting" several others over the years.

Alda is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; two sisters and their spouses, Sarah May and Gale Smith of Forestville, CA and Donna and Don Hill of Caldwell; her brother and spouse, Jim and Gloria Redfield of Loma Linda, CA; her three children, Paul of Caldwell, James of Salt Lake City, UT and Susanne of Caldwell; many nieces and nephews; and friends.
Alda Sue Willis will be missed dearly by her family, friends and all who knew her.They look forward to an appointment with her in heaven some day soon.
