Patrick Willingham, CPA, President and CEO
Mr. Willingham is one of the founders of Community Health Systems, parent company of Community Senior Life.He joined the organization in 1985 after contributing thousands of hours of professional services to CHS without compensation while serving as Vice President of Finance for Drummond Coal Company in Jasper, Alabama.
During his tenure as President of Community Health Systems, Mr. Willingham has been the guiding force behind its growth and continued success in a changing and uncertain health care environment.He is also one of the founders of Walker Regional Medical Center in Jasper and served as a Manager for Arthur Young & Company, a Big Eight Accounting Firm.
Mr. Willingham holds a BS degree from the University of Alabama where he also attended the Master of Business Administration program.Mr. Willingham is a Certified Public Accountant and earned the highest grade on the May,1971, CPA examination.
Mr. Willingham has served as a member and director of many professional and civic organizations and is an Advanced Member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.He has received the Silver Beaver Award, the highest award of the Boy Scouts of America.Mr. Willingham has extensive experience in all areas of health care and is able to provide special insight and information across the spectrum of senior housing.
