Native Carpinterian, Nathan Willingham, will lead the programs.Willingham is an experienced tennis professional certified by the United States Professional Tennis Association.He has competed regionally and nationally as a junior in California and played collegiate tennis at Union University in Jackson, Tenn. where he held all NAIA honors.Willingham also played professional tennis before starting a career coaching juniors and adults for the city of Memphis.
For the last five years Willingham has been developing programs in Tennessee where he introduced the game of tennis to over 2,000 kids every summer.Additionally, he worked with several kids and adults year around, and high-level juniors who he trained to compete at regional and national levels.Willingham will be the 2003 men's tennis coach at Carpinteria High School.
Adult programs, clinics, and camps for all levels all year, will be offered.Private instruction will be available for those who are interested.
