Welcome to Russell Willing, new Australian Government Rivercare Facilitator for the Northern Territory.Russell began his new role on June 6 and has so far been focused on assisting with preparations for the release of the Community Water Grants.Russell has a diverse background which includes fisheries research, Greenhouse policy development, and assisting in the preparation of the Integrated Natural Resource Management Plan for the Northern Territory.Russell says there are a number of aspects to his role as a Rivercare facilitator but he most looks forward to identifying and assisting in the development of synergies between various sectors which will result in more opportunities for everyone to improve natural resource management outcomes.

ENVIROFUNDS ROUND SEVEN POSTPONED.

The Prime Minister has announced that as a part of the enhanced drought assistance package for communities, farmers and landholders, a special Drought Recovery round of the Envirofunds will be conducted starting as soon as possible.
