Romy is responsible for the creation of commercial, income generating opportunities, specifically the Art Leasing and Artist Referral Service.A professional freelance photographer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the Corcoran School of Art in Washington DC, Romy also has a Masters in Arts Management and Creative Enterprising from QUT.

Romy spent three years working for the International Monetary Fund as a photographer, before returning to Australia eight years ago.Prior to joining the Artworkers team, Romy worked throughout Australia as a freelance photographer continuing the development her practice, as she still does today.

Speakers include: Romy Willing (Artworkers Alliance) and Christine Murray (Public Art Unit, State Government Urban Art Projects).

There are some friendly new faces in the Artworkers office: Hannah Broom is our new Membership Officer and will handle all general requests for information and advice; Romy Willing is now Industry Development Officer - talk to Romy if you have any questions about the Artist Referral Service or Art Leasing.

Driven by jeweller Marisa Molin and photographer Romy Willing, with space generously sponsored by Multiplex, Schmik will officially open at 6pm on Saturday 8 December and invites shoppers and arts lovers to spend their pretty pennies where it counts with free hugs on offer, live music and refreshing refreshments.

Romy Willing is a professional freelance Photographer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the Corcoran School of Art in Washington DC.Romy spent three years working for the International Monetary Fund as a Photographer, before returning to her native Australia six years ago.Romy is based in Brisbane and works throughout Australia as a freelance Photographer shooting Architectural photography, Fashion, Food, and Portraiture.She continues to pursue her passion for Fine Art through various self-commissioned projects, as well as working on commissions for public and private interests.Romy has also recently been accepted into the Master of Creative Industries, Arts Management course at QUT and will commence study in March 2004.
