Melanie graduated in 1996 from the Thompson Rivers University in Kamploops, BC as an Animal Health Technologist (AHT).She knew from a very young age that she wanted a meaningful career working with both animals and people.She took a practicum at the Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital (CVVH) which led to a full time position for the next nine years.

She came to work at the Oak Bay Pet Clinic in the spring of 2005 and is now both the operating Manager at the clinic as well as a current AHT.She is thus able to utilize and put into practice both her technical skills with animals as well as her people skills working with their owners.

In her spare time, Melanie spends time with her husband, Brian, their little cat named Tilley and a very busy Cairn Terrier named Marlow.

Melanie and Brian are now awaiting the birth of their first baby and we wish them both the best of luck and continuing success
