    Erin grew up in a progressive family of educators in Northern Idaho.Attending public school in a rural area, she became acutely aware of the work that needed to be done to improve public schools and ensure equal access to opportunities for all kids.Her studies led her to the University of Montana in Missoula, where she graduated with high honors.

    Before her recent move to Portland, Erin worked for Families First, a family support organization in Missoula, Montana.She furthered her love of working directly with kids through Families First's nature-based childhood bereavement program, where she completed a year of AmeriCorps service before taking on management of the program.She continues her love of creative and outdoor-based programs as a volunteer for Providence Hospice Programs' Camp Erin, a local children's bereavement camp.

    In Missoula, Erin spent five years at Families First, a family support and education organization.She furthered her love of working directly with kids through Families First's nature-based childhood bereavement program, Seasons.She completed a year of AmeriCorps service with Seasons, then spent a year managing the program before her move to Portland.

    In her free time, Erin is an avid cyclist on a small Portland racing team and enjoys exploring the Pacific northwest on her road and mountain bikes.She continues to stay connected to direct service through volunteer work with Seasons and other programs.
