Curt joined Hearth Homes as its Executive Director in March, 2004.His work history includes: Program Director of Fountain House Foundation's Apartment Program; founder and Executive Director of Toolworks, Inc. for nearly twenty years; Interim Executive Director of Whirlwind Wheelchairs International; Executive Director of Occupational Training Institute at Foothill-De Anza Community College District.

Curt graduated from NYU with a BA in English Literature, and received a Master's in Social Work from Columbia University.
