Chris Willig is the owner and primary inspector of Lancaster Home Inspections, Inc.He was born in Lancaster, graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School and from Millersville University where he obtained a BA in Physics.Chris worked as an independent contractor in various construction trades and founded Willig Construction, a full service residential building and remodeling company.Following ten successful years in the building profession he chose to enter the home inspection business.Chris believes a building and remodeling back ground is essential to providing quality service in this field.Insight gained through hands on experience in the building trades has proven to be invaluable when providing inspection services.
Experience and a belief in a high level of quality service helped Chris recognize the need for creating Lancaster Home Inspections, Inc. to satisfy customer needs.As the need for a more comprehensive inspection became apparent, Realtors and buyers turned to Chris for his commitment to detail and his extra effort in the inspection process.Chris has performed over 5000 home inspections and he takes pride in evaluating each home as if it were his own.Chris enjoys sharing details with buyers regarding the upkeep and maintenance of their new investment.
The American Society of Home Inspectors, (ASHI) is the leader in the industry and has set the highest standards and requirements.Chris Willig is a full member of the ASHI national chapter and a member of Keystone ASHI, the local chapter.Chris has been performing certified home inspections for the past 9 years.He is certified to perform Wood Destroying Insect Inspections and perform radon testing by the DEP of Pennsylvania and EPA listed.Chris has been performing construction consultation for the past 9 years where he offers a step by step evaluation of the new construction process from excavation to finish work.Home plans and specifications are reviewed and then each stage of the construction process is inspected as the home is built.Chris also performs professional witness services for construction and building related cases.
