Bruce W. Willig became a Cub Scout in San Angelo, then moved to Troop 9 where he earned his Eagle Award, then on to Sea Scout Ship 22.

As an adult Scouter he has served on the unit level as an associate Skipper with Ship 22, Charter Partner Representative for Troop 9, and Den Leader/Webelos Leader for Pack 7. Bruce has served on the Council Executive Board since 1993 and is currently its President in his second term. He has the Den and Webelos Leader Training awards, his Wood Badge beads and is a Brotherhood Member of the order of the Arrow.

A graduate of the University of Texas Bruce is Vice-president and General Manager of Western Iron Works.

Bruce believes in the Scouting program and admits to marrying a Scout. He met his wife Darlene when she joined the Sailing Post.
