Kristie Williford said many people have asked her if she felt nervous going into her first year as principal of Bethel Elementary in Midland.She hasn't."We had a good open house, and I had a good feeling about the parents and staff here," said Williford, a former assistant principal at Mount Pleasant Elementary."I feel like we are going to have a great year."One process Bethel implemented this year is establishing holding areas for students before the start of school.Students can enter the building at 7:15 a.m. and wait in the cafeteria or gym until the bell rings at 7:30 a.m.Williford said she was impressed with how well students behaved.
