Brandon Charles WillifordA Registered Professional Landman, Mr. Williford brings more than a decade of land service and management experience to his role as Vice President of Land for Opal Energy Inc.
Prior to joining Opal Energy, Mr. Williford owned and operated his own independent land services company, Williamson & Williford Petroleum Land Services Inc. (2003 to 2005).Mr. Williford is a skilled Landman.He has a thorough understanding of the land business, has routinely supervised contract Landmen and Attorneys.
Mr. Williford is also practiced at monitoring and disseminating land activities, maintaining land maps, performing and coordinating due diligence efforts, and targeting lease opportunities.Immersed in the oil and gas industry since childhood, Mr. Williford possesses not only invaluable skill, but a lifelong network of business, trade, and government contacts.
From 2000 to 2003, Mr. Williford was a Land Manager for Gulf Coast Energy Associates LLC (Corpus Christi) where he supervised contract Landmen and Title Attorneys, managed farm-ins, farm-outs, assignments and division orders and maintained relations with the GLO and RRC (Texas state regulatory agencies).
From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Williford was a Landman for Western Geophysical/Western Atlas (Edinburg, Hidalgo Country, Texas) where he oversaw mineral and surface titles, negotiated surface permits, oil, gas and mineral leases and options, and negotiated damage claims and acquired seismic data.
Mr. Williford studied Business at the University of Houston and is a registered, licensed Draftsman, and Registered Professional Landman.He began his career as a draftsman for Richard Dias Construction where from 1990 to 1992 he developed designs and drafts for custom homes and commercial properties before initiating his career as a Landman.
