A. INTRODUCTION TO ISM'S NEW DIRECTOR OF ADVANCEMENT: Lorraine Williby, our new Director of Advancement, will occasionally provide updates regarding funding prospects as well as special programs.Lorraine came to us from the City of Seaside where she served as the City's Finance Analyst for three years.She has a great deal of experience working in finance and grant management.Lorraine worked with foundation and government funding as a Budget Analyst at the Monterey Institute of International Studies' (MIIS) Center for Nonproliferation Studies and was Grant Administrator for the Earth System Science Institute at CSUMB.She also served fifteen years with the County of Monterey at the Office for Employment Training where she was the Assistant Fiscal Officer.Lorraine just completed the Executive Masters of Public Administration (EMPA) degree at Golden Gate University, and has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Management from San Jose State University.If you have not already met her, please stop by the front office to say "hello" and introduce yourself.In the three short months that Lorraine has been at ISM, she has:
* Coordinated the Search Associates recruitment Dinner,* Submitted grant evaluations/status reports to the California Department of Education (CDE), the Chapman Foundation, and the Monterey Peninsula Foundation;* Submitted grant proposals to the Chapman Foundation, Healthy Eating Lifestyle Principles (HELP)*(See Item B below), and Dunspaugh Dalton Foundation;
