    Hobart and Lenora had the joy of sharing 45 years of marriage last year in July.In 1958 , Hobart graduated from Friends University in Wichita , Kan. , and in the 1960s he graduated from the Colorado School of Banking at Boulder.The Knight family moved to the Paonia area in 1958 , where Hobart made his home until the time of his death.Prior to his retirement in the early 1990s , he was president of the First National Bank in Paonia.Hobart was a member of Friends Church in Paonia , the Paonia Rotary , past president of the Delta County Telephone Cooperative , a member of the Friends University Board of Trustees in Wichita , Kan. ; belonged to the Colorado Bankers Association , and served on several other boards throughout the area.Hobart was a private pilot and an avid outdoor enthusiast.He greatly enjoyed fishing , hunting , snowmobiling , training horses , and was a supporter of all the area athletics.All who knew and loved Hobart know just how fortunate they were to have him touch their lives.He will be greatly missed.Survivors very grateful to share Hobart's life include his wife , Lenora Knight , of Somerset ; two sons : Dr. Denis Knight and wife Dawn , of Wichita , Kan. ; Tom Knight and wife Kim , of Edmond , Okla. ; one daughter , Jaylene and husband Stan Park , of Aspen ; and nine precious grandchildren.Other family survivors include two sisters : Shirley and husband Chuck Quin , of Grand Junction ; Mary Esther and husband Leland Wines , of Benicia , Calif. ; his stepmother , Emma Knight , of Friendswood , Texas ; one stepbrother , Wilmer Allman and wife Marie , of Freeport , Texas ; and one stepsister , Carolyn and husband Ted Shafer , of Dallas , Texas.Hobart was preceded in death by both of his parents.Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Monday , Feb. 12 , from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Hotchkiss.Funeral Services in loving remembrance and to honor and celebrate Hobart's life will be officiated by Pastor Gaylen Kinser on Tuesday , Feb. 13 , at 10 : 30 a.m. at the Friends Church in Paonia.Interment will follow the service in the Cedar Hill Cemetery at Paonia.In lieu of flowers , the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to : Friends Church , In Memory of Hobart Knight , P.O. Box 278 , Paonia , CO 81428.Arrangements are being handled under the direction of Taylor Funeral Service , Inc. , ( 970 ) 874-9988.
