6. This West Point graduate served as a colonel, Professor of Civil Engineering, Director of Studies, and Commandant of the Columbian Military Academy for 3 years.Later he served as General in the Columbian Army and Director of the National Military School.After retirement, he continued to serve Colombia, smuggling arms through hostile territory forthe government.He was also author of several military books in both Spanish and English.
