    Sharon has been in Alberta for the last 6 years having worked for the Alberta Research Council in Vegreville and for the Environmental Operations Department of Strathcona County.While in Ontario she worked on numerous research projects related to mining reclamation, wetland development, remote sensing and ecology.She also worked in the area of water treatment for the Regional Municipality of Sudbury.She is a member of the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists.

    Sharon came to the position of Manager of the North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance in May 2002, and had been an active member of the NSWA since 2000.She is very interested in, and committed to a watershed approach to resource management within the North Saskatchewan watershed and beyond.She feels it important to take a balanced approach to conservation issues - recognizing the issues of concern for all stakeholders.She believes that the common interest of all stakeholders is quality water of sufficient quantities to sustain the needs of both humans and the environment, and that the ecosystem which supports us all need not be compromised for this to occur.
