Lewis Willian , principal of Trapp and Pilot View , told the board he would be meeting with the five families Thursday night.

LEWIS WILLIAN currently serves as curriculum and assessment specialist for the Clark County schools.He is a former Highly Skilled Educator and creator of the "Path to Proficiency" workshops used statewide to raise expectations for teachers.During his tenure as principal at both Trapp Elementary and Pilot View Elementary simultaneously, Lewis helped both schools reach 100 in multiple content areas and consistently place in the top 5 percent of all schools in the state year after year.He has been used by multiple districts for development and motivation of staff through workshops and on-going professional development activities.

Principal Lewis Willian thanked outgoing Parent-Teacher Organization officers, President Omar Maggard, Vice President Missy Durbin, Secretary Robyn Justice and Treasurer Carmen Spencer for their work.

Willian installed the 2003-2004 PTO officers, Co-presidents Kathy Embs and Joe Drumm, Vice President Megan Tibbs, Secretary Tracy Pesina and Treasurer Carmen Spencer.

Past PTO Vice President Missy Durbin presented Willian, who has accepted a position with the Kentucky Department of Education, with a plaque in recognition of his service as Trapp Elementary principal for the past four years.
