Zachary Williamson (Sound Designer) is pleased to return to VSC, where he has designed 18 productions since 1999. Recent New York designs include The Colleen Bawn, Peg o'My Heart and Bedbound (Irish Rep), I Vermin (NYC Fringe), For Real (78th St. Theatre Lab), The Nualas (Irish Arts Center), Misterman (Origin), The Importance of Being Earnest (Brave New World) and House of Blue Leaves (Two River). He has also been associate designer for the national tours of The Full Monty and Kiss Me Kate (Networks). Additionally, he has designed shows for Governor's School for the Arts, Syracuse Stage, Virginia Opera, Queens Theater in the Park, Vermont Stage, Pennsylvania Center Stage, Dublin Fringe Festival and the School for Visual Arts.

Recent New York designs include The Field, Bedbound and Peg o' My Heart (Irish Rep), Darkling (American Opera), Full Bloom (Vital), Matter of Choice, Baby Girl and ‘nami (Partial Comfort) and Joy (Actors' Playhouse). He has also worked with Two River Theater, Vermont Stage, Syracuse Stage, Celebrate Brooklyn, Lincoln Center Festival, Ellis Island Foundation and the Norfolk Governor's School for the Arts. He was the associate sound designer for the national tours of Kiss Me Kate and The Full Monty. Zach is a member of United Scenic Artists.

Zachary has also worked with the Vermont Stage Company, Pennsylvania Center Stage, Syracuse Stage, Queens Theater in the Park, Flynn Theater, Music First Productions of New York and John Jay College.

Zach Williamson is a freelance designer working in New York City.Growing up in Vermont, he specializes in the sounds of cows, snowplows, and running sap. sounds of cows.He attended Oberlin College and then worked for two years as the resident sound designer for the Virginia Stage Company.Current projects include the national tour of The Full Monty for Networks Tours, teaching sound design at the Virginia Governor's School for the Arts, and designing various off Broadway productions.He is the house audio engineer at John Jay Theater and is a member of IATSE Local 829 (United Scenic Artists).

Zachary Williamson (Sound Designer) Zachary serves as Resident Sound Designer at Virginia Stage Company.His previous VSC designs include A Christmas Carol, Art, Othello, Alan Shepard, The Lonesome West, Dinner with Friends, and The Last Night of Ballyhoo, as well as The Emperor's New Clothes, The Dream Keeper and A Yars and Brer Rabbit Tales for VSC's Theatre for Kids program.Other designs include: Equus and Tommy for the Governor's School for the Arts, Porgy and Bess for the Virginia Opera Company, and Things Being What They Are for the B Group in New York.Zachary has also worked with the Vermont Stage Company, Pennsylvania Center Stage, The Flynn Theater in Vermont, Syracuse Stage, Queens Theatre in the Park, and Music First Production in New York.He has also engineered albums for folk singer/songwriter Josh Ritter and Midwest band Scenes from the Next.
