   William (Bill) B. Williams has served as Chief Operations Executive of NetBank, Inc. since April 2002. Williams has more than 35 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry. For the past 22 years, he has worked as a consultant to institutions of various sizes to help them increase operational efficiency and reduce expenses by re-engineering different business processes.
   
   Prior to joining NetBank, Inc., Williams founded Strategic Projects Consulting, a firm of independent consultants specializing in business process development and re-engineering. Additionally, he has worked as Director of Consulting Services, Bank of America (and Barnett Bank before it was acquired by Bank of America); Senior Vice President, Furash & Company; Division President, BEI Golembe; and Vice President and Cashier, Planters National Bank & Trust (now Centura Bank).
   
   Williams has a bachelor's degree in economics from North Carolina Wesleyan College. He has also completed numerous professional and executive training courses, including the BAI School of Administration at the University of Wisconsin and the Program on Negotiations for Senior Executives at Harvard University.
