According to Terry Williamson, PECO's Director of Communications and External Relations, 'PECO is pleased to support the Philadelphia Youth Tennis scholarship program, and to provide opportunities for deserving young people to further their education.'
PYT is a non-profit organization founded in 1952 that provides year-round tennis training supplemented by educational programs to approximately 7,000 at-risk children.It owns and operates the nationally acclaimed Arthur Ashe Youth Tennis Center, runs the National Junior Tennis League summer program at 50 city locations and numerous after-school programs.Its mission is "to create and promote opportunities to improve the quality of life for young people through tennis."
