Born in Memphis, raised in MS, and now Memphian, Mrs. Tammy Williamson joined our team in 1999 as part time French and Spanish Instructor for grades one through sixth.Since then she has developed a full time Spanish program for grades Preschool through sixth grades.Mrs. Williamson has earned her Masters, Bachelors Degree, and Teaching Degree from The University of Memphis.She has also attended La Universidad de Chile in Santiago, Chile and Rhodes College.Mrs. Williamson is a member of the Tennessee Foreign Language Teaching Association, American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language, National Honor Society, and is a Rotary International Scholar.Before coming to Christ Methodist Day School Mrs. Williamson taught Spanish at Itawamba Community College, The University of Memphis, and Campus School.She has also held positions as an Educational Counselor for Fournier Learning Strategies, an English Instructor for Banco Sudamericano in Santiago, Chile, and a Public Relations Associate for Nicole Miller in New York City.She currently teaches Spanish on-line for Itawamba Community College.
Married to her husband, Erwin, for eleven years Mrs. Williamson also has two children who attend Christ Methodist Day School.She enjoys shopping, sewing, knitting, traveling, reading, and especially spending family time together.
