Mr. Williamson received his B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from Ball State University in 1965.An expert in Statistical Quality Control, Mr. Williamson is a graduate of a number of programs and certification courses in quality control, sanitation and food processing.He is a member of the Institute of Food Technologists and of the American Society for Quality Control.
After serving as a research food chemist with the Gerber Products Co. and Director of Quality Assurance (Indiana) for HLH Products, he joined Libby, McNeill & Libby, where he held a succession of position of increasing responsibility in quality control.As Manager of Quality Control for Contract Packing, he was responsible for the control of quality in plants copacking products under Libby labels.As Manager of Corporate Quality Control Policies and Procedures, he was charged with the development of purchasing and manufacturing specifications, and quality control manuals.
Mr. Williamson was commissioned as an officer in the Medical Service Corps of the United States Army in which he served from 1966 to 1969, attaining the rank of Captain.Following assignment as Assistant Registrar of Fitzimmons General Hospital, he was deployed to Vietnam where he became the Registrar and Medical Maintenance Officer for the 45th Surgical MUST unit.
Associated with Food Science Associates since 1975 as quality control consultant, Mr. Williamson's has had extensive experience in product quality evaluation and in the development of quality assurance procedures, manuals and training programs for a broad spectrum of food products, both in the United States and overseas.
Mr. Williamson has completed the following certification programs:
