Here are a few of the memorable tips and advice local "Hitch" men Fred Moss IV and Prescott Williamson have shared with their friends.
...
Williamson: "When you're with a man, he's going to say little stuff to get in good like 'You know, girl, I really like you.' or 'I really miss you.' Ask him 'What do you miss about me?' or 'What do you like about me?' and if he can't answer it or says something like 'Well, I just really miss or like you' Then, he's just running game.
...
You don't want her to order something small and then you get something big or vice versa because she'll be finished and he'll still be eating or vice versa and then you have those awkward moments," Williamson said.
...
"I didn't even realize that's what I was doing until I saw the movie," said Prescott Williamson."I mean, I don't take it to that extreme, but one of my friends that saw the movie with me brought it to my attention and was like 'Hey, that's exactly what you!'" he said.
Williamson, 23, who just started as an intern in the Human Resources department at The Times, finds himself giving constant dating advice to his circle of female friends.
...
Illisa May, another friend of Williamson, said another part of his appeal is he's always encouraging his friends to look more at the brighter side of the situation.
"He always telling me to think positive and not be so down on myself or he always said you have no reason to think bad about yourself," May said.
Williamson said he started adding his two cents after seeing the same thing over and over again on the dating scene."I just always got tired of seeing average guys like me getting run over because women are always looking for a certain kind of man that looks like a movie star or something. Then after they break their hearts, they come back around to guys like me and that makes us have to work extra hard," he said.
