Legends' Spanish guitarist, Peter Williamson, has been working in the Canberra region for over twenty five years, opening the first dedicated guitar teaching studios in Canberra in 1977.A teacher, composer and performer, he is British born and has spent many years perfecting his restaurant flamenco style known as ‘Spanish Background'.
Studying and teaching in Brisbane he worked with the Spanish dancer Rosita doing the night club circuit as part of the duo ‘Pedro y Rosita' and also worked in two Spanish Flamenco touring groups.Peter then moved to Melbourne and toured Australia and New Zealand for three years with the JC Williamson production of Man of La Mancha.He made several television appearances during this time.
Having played in England, Europe and Australia, Peter is now working as an instrumental teacher for both Canberra Grammar School and Marist College teaching Classical and Flamenco guitar technique.Legends' Spanish Restaurant enjoys the mix of Traditional Flamenco, Spanish Background and classical pieces that Peter (Pedrito) performs on Fridays & Saturday nights after 7:30pm.
