Peter Williamson

From 1988 to 1994, Pete was President and Chief Executive Officer of MasterCard International, the worldwide payment service provider.Concurrently he also served as Chairman of the Board of Maestro International, the global debit system, and was a member of the board of directors of Europay International.

Before joining MasterCard, Pete spent ten years at First Interstate Bancorp, the 17-state multibank holding company now part of Wells Fargo.He joined as President and Chief Executive Officer of First Interstate Services Company, the system-wide technology and operations subsidiary.In 1981, he became Executive Vice President of the parent, responsible for consumer banking and operations.While there he became the founding Chairman of the Board of the CIRRUS System, today the world's largest network of shared automated teller machines.

His prior experience includes General Manager of the Card Services Group at the First National Bank of Chicago, and Director of Marketing at BancOhio.

Pete serves on the Board of Directors of HNC Software, Sanchez Computer Associates, Silicon Valley Bank, Destiny Solutions, Ethentica Inc, and Global Payments Inc.He is an advisor to many companies including eHarmony, the Internet Capital Group, Onvia.com, Orbiscom, Qpass, Solspark, and Zone28.He also serves as Chairman of the Board of e-PROFILE, the market leader among outsourcing providers of direct banking services.

Pete graduated from Harvard University in 1962.He completed studies at the Graduate School of Bank Marketing at the University of Colorado and the Graduate Program for Data Processing Management at Harvard Business School.He resides in Radnor, Pennsylvania.
