    Whether students or clients, people were attracted to Mrs. Williamson, a religious woman, because of her sincere love of people, said her son Mark Williamson of Richardson.

    Mrs. Williamson was born Dec. 24, 1921, near Mount Pleasant, Texas, and grew up in East Texas.She graduated from Sam Houston State Teachers College about 1940, and began her teaching career at the age of 19.

    The piano player taught in Goodrich, Texas, where she met her husband, Glenn Williamson, who was a band director.

    "It was a mom-and-pop shop that grew into a big business," Mark Williamson said."She was the reason for the success of my father, my brother and me. ...She was the glue that held everything together."

    She retired from the store in 1990 and performed mostly at senior citizens facilities with her husband's band.

    Mrs. Williamson was a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Richardson Retired Teachers Association and First Baptist Church in Richardson.

    Besides her son, Mrs. Williamson is survived by her husband, Glenn Williamson of Richardson; son Glenn Williamson II of Plano; sister Helen Griffin of Houston; two grandchildren and five stepgrandchildren.
