  Mr. Williamson has 25 years of varied experience in the financial services business.He began his career in 1976 as an Account Executive with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, and held various management assignments with Smith Barney.
  
  In 1985 he joined C&S Securities, an affiliate of C&S/Sovran, and was named Managing Director in 1988 when the bank developed one of the first full-service bank affiliated securities firms in the country.In 1990, Mr. Williamson began the expansion of C&S/Sovran's proprietary MarketMaster mutual funds.With the creation of NationsBank in 1992, he was responsible for combining the MarketMaster and Hatteras Fund families to create the Nations Funds' family of mutual funds.
  
  In 1995, Mr. Williamson became President and CEO of NationsBanc Advisors, Inc., investment adviser to the Nations Funds' family of funds.Later that year, he was also named President of NationsBanc Investments, Inc., the Bank's retail brokerage affiliate.In 1997, Mr. Williamson was named Consumer Investing Executive for NationsBank and Chairman and CEO of the Bank's mutual fund and brokerage subsidiaries.
  
  In 1998, he became Chairman and CEO of INVESCO Funds Group, Inc., one of the nation's leading mutual fund companies and a division of AMVESCAP PLC, one of the world's largest independent global investment firms.Earlier this year, he assumed the additional role of CEO of the AMVESCAP PLC Managed Products Division.
  
  Mr. Williamson graduated from the University of Florida in 1973.He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Investment Company Institute and the Board of Directors of ICI Mutual Insurance Company.
